Phil is a highly technical, business-focussed CISO/Information Security Specialist with notable success in directing and implementing a broad range of corporate security initiatives. An experienced operational security manager with a deep level of technical ability and awareness combined with strong leadership skills and endless enthusiasm and charisma.

Still conducting his own ethical hacking and penetration tests, Phil builds Kali Linux systems on Raspberry Pi in his spare time and operates a WiFi Pineapple with great dexterity.

Widely regarded as one of the top information security specialists in Europe, Phil is frequently on the international conference speaker circuit. As an industry thought-leader and seasoned security evangelist, Phil has occupied a number of high-profile roles in the UK, Europe and the Middle East spanning a 25 year career in technology and security.

His publicity on the subject of wireless security have made Phil somewhat of a security celebrity with appearances on TV and in national press. He was responsible for the first published war-driving surveys in London, 2001 and has continued to revisit this each year on behalf of RSA Security.

In 2006 Phil became the UK President of the ISSA (Information Systems Security Association) and sits on a number of committees and steering groups for ISO27001 user group, IISP, Eurim and IRM.

He was CTO of uk-based security product company NetSurity Ltd.
